2007-08 Student Leadership Representatives

In it's fourth year, the Union College Upward Bound Student Leadership Council hopes to become a legacy of    leadership    among participants.  The purpose of the council is to elicit student opinions on issues specific to Upward Bound.  Hopefully, all participants will become more involved in all aspects of the program.  For elected representatives this new opportunity affords each of them the chance to gain valuable leadership experience.

Representatives are chosen from each school and are elected to one year terms.  Representatives are asked to listen to peers concerns and ask the following questions:  What can we improve?  What should stay the same?  How is Upward Bound helping us prepare for success in college?  What other assistance is needed to ensure that we succeed?  The council requires comments to be structured and professional, with representatives meeting with staff on a monthly basis.

Council membership is contingent on participants remaining in good standing.
