The Student Support Services
office offers a
variety of services designed to help you meet your changing needs
as you travel your individual college path. Part of the
Department of Special
Programs, Student Support Services is a federally funded program
that is designed to assist low income, first generation college
students navigate the college landscape.

We offer personal,
career, and academic counseling in addition to tutoring and
Supplemental Instruction via the newly
renovated Academic Resource Center (ARC)
located in Centennial Hall, Room 107. The new Career Center
supports your career planning efforts
and offers assistance with the job
search,
internships, graduate school preparation, resumes, cover letters,
etiquette, wardrobe, as
well as anything else that might help you on your journey.
Students meet with an SSS counselor on an annual basis to fill out
the individualized education plan or IEP to set goals and discuss
appropriate strategies. SSS then helps students meet
their goals by providing workshops and activities designed to
support the student as he or she moves through the academic year.
Best
of all, these services are offered
free of charge and
are designed to support academic needs
while complementing both the student's personal and social growth.
