Each January, during the Martin Luther King, Jr.
Memorial Weekend, the Union College Bonners travel to a distant community
to serve, learn about the area and its social issues, to bond as a group,
and to celebrate the idea that MLK Day is a "day on, not a day off."
The Bonner Spring Service Trip is planned each year by the sophomore class
and is funded by profits made at October's Daniel Boone Festival.
