Bonner Program Qualifications
- - Acceptance to Union College as full-time
undergraduate
- - Financial need as determined by the FAFSA
- - Top 40% of high school class (incoming
students) -or- minimum 2.5 grade point average (upperclassmen)
- - Evidence of commitment to service and
leadership within community, family, and/or religious institution
Bonner Program Expectations and Requirements
- - Maintain good academic standing with Union
College
- - Appropriate representation of the program on
and off campus
- - 140 hours of service and enrichment each
semester (approximately 10 hours per week)
- - 280 hours of service in each of 2 summer
non-profit internships, lasting no less than 7 weeks (after sophomore
and junior years)
- - Weekly training/enrichment meetings
- - Class projects
- - First-year service trip
- - Sophomore service exchange
- - Senior Presentation of Learning
