Knox County Repair Affair was founded in 1997 through
a partnership between Union College and KCEOC. The program received
grant funding for 3 years.
In 2004, Union College began coordinating the event
entirely through Common Partners and funding is made possible through local
organizations and businesses. Lunches are donated by generous local
restaurants.
Knox County Repair Affair is our largest event of the
year. Over 100 campus and community volunteers come together on one
day to repair 10 homes for low-income and disabled residents of Knox County.
The 10th Annual Knox County Repair Affair
was held April 21, 2007.
