In partnership with the Knox County Board of
Education, Union College is proud to offer activities for local children
each Halloween night. "Fright Night: Be Afraid of Drugs" is a
collaborative effort of many Knox County organizations that seeks to provide
programming for local children to keep them safe on Halloween. Each
activity is also designed to teach the children about the negative effects
of drug use and abuse.
Union College assists in the county's effort by
providing a race for students in grades 5-8 from the local elementary and
middle schools. The race is designed to focus on various facets of
drug use to deter children from succumbing to the pressures of drugs.
