The U-Connect Story: Making connections that count
Sometimes the best way to learn more about a topic is to either do it or talk to someone who does.  The U-Connect Program strives to do just that by matching current Union College students with alumni, friends or trustees with similar career interests so natural networking relationships can be established.  The pilot program launched with 16 participants, a reception and speed networking event, followed by dinner and coffee.  Participants also received a U-Connect pin and participants "pinned" the mentors at the end of the evening, making that one-to-one connection memorable.  The event was very successful - you can see more photos from the event here.  Interested students are encouraged to apply for acceptance into this program by contacting Lee Angel, Coordinator of Career Planning and Placement, this Fall 2009.
